Bill Tole and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra
The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra was born at Nuttings-on-the-Charles, in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1934. The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra had many hits, including their greatest hit, "So Rare." Under Jimmy's direction the orchestra continued strong throughout the end of the thirties and into the forties, peaking musically towards the end of the war. Today, the band is led by trombonist Bill Tole. Among his credits, Bill portrayed Jimmy Dorsey in the film New York New York. Nancy Knorr is featured as the band's soloist and performs a tribute to the legendary Helen O'Connell.. The combined energy of the band will take the listening audience from the 1940s right through the decades to the present day.
