International Student Services Application Requirements
Application Requirements
We encourage students to apply at least two months before the semester begins to allow sufficient processing time.

Financial Documentation
Under U.S. immigration law, prospective students must provide financial documentation demonstrating sufficient funds to cover their studies in the U.S.
Financial documents must include the following details:
- Bank name (with official bank logo)
- Account number (partial number is acceptable)
- Account holder's name
- Account balance
- Date of bank statement (must be no older than 60 days)
Transfer Student (Transferring SEVIS Record to OCCC)
1. Apply now.
2. Submit current financial documentation - Provide a financial statement (no older than 60 days) showing the ability to finance the projected educational goals of at least $21,700. A bank statement alone will not be accepted; also include the Student Financial Verification form signed by student's sponsor. If bringing dependents (spouse or child) an additional $2,500 per dependent must be reflected in the account balance.
3. Demonstrate English proficiency - Meeting one of the following minimum scores set by the Oklahoma State Regents:

- Standardized Test: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Examination, PTE Academic, or iTEP Academic.

- Minimum Score below with completion of a 12 weeks of intensive English Language Program at an approved intensive English program in Oklahoma: Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education - Current Intensive English Programs (IEP) Approved for Students Seeking Admission to Institutions in the Oklahoma State System
Assessment Minimum Score plus 12-week English program
TOEFL - Paper-Based 460-499
TOEFL - Computer-Based 140-172
TOEFL - iBT - Internet-Based 48-60
IELTS 5.0-5.4
PTE Academic 36-43
iTEP Academic 3.0-3.4
4. Submit transcripts:

An official transcript showing at least 24 completed college credit hours from a U.S. institution.

An official U.S. high school transcript with a graduation date, verifying all curricular requirements.

Any other official transcripts from accredited colleges attended.

5. Provide immigration documents:

Copy of valid passport name page

Copy of visa and I-94 number (retrieved from cbp.gov/i94)

Current I-20 student copy from the last authorized school attended

New Student Residing Outside of the United States

- Copy of student visa and passport name page
- A letter from the Designated School Official (DSO) at your institution granting permission to take classes at OCCC each semester.
3. Current official transcript from the school that holds your SEVIS record.
