Navigating Technology
Every student, faculty, and staff member has an OCCC email account. This is the main form of communication between you and the College, so make sure to check it daily! If you do not want to log in to the system every day to check your email, then I recommend you set it so emails come to your phone.
Instructions for setting account up on your phone:
MYOCCC Portal
MyOCCC Portal is the gateway to OCCC’s student information resources. MyOCCC Portal is a single sign-on, web-based interface which allows a student access to resources you will use daily. It allows you to take care of business 24/7.
From the MyOCCC Portal you can:
- Check your progress toward your degree and Register
- See your financial aid balance
- Pay tuition and fees
- View your academic profile, including any holds you may have
- Enroll in classes
- Check your OCCC email
- Access course syllabi, lecture notes, etc. with Moodle

Moodle- online classroom environment
Moodle is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators, and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalized learning environments
Moodle Knowledge Base includes information on:
- Login and Navigation
- Submitting Work
- Quick mail, Email and Contacting Instructors
There is also a Moodle Orientation available within Moodle and students have access to it once they register for classes the first time.

NAVIGATE APP
Navigate is a student-success tool developed by EAB and used at more than 550 colleges and universities. The free app allows for better communication between students and their advisors and faculty, helps students stay on track in their college education, and serves as a one-stop-shop for resources.
From the Navigate App you can:
- Schedule an appointment with an advisor
- View Resources on Campus
- Get reminders of upcoming events
- View To-Do Lists
- See holds on your account
- View your major, view career options with that major
- Find Study Groups
MyWay- Interactive Campus Map
OCCC can be a confusing place to navigate, and our rooms sometimes have odd names. But the MyWay Interactive Map can help you find your classroom! Once you know a couple of the tricks with the system, it is easy to use.
