PTA Faculty and Bios
Jennifer Metcalfe Ball, PT, MHR, ATC
Jennifer has practiced physical therapy since 1992 in outpatient orthopaedic clinical settings in Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma. Jennifer has worked for HealthSouth (recently purchased by Select Medical Corporation) as a staff physical therapist for 11 years, and as the Clinical Administrator of nine outpatient clinics for four years. She also works in the acute care setting at Integris Baptist Medical Center. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has treated athletes in the following athletic settings: the National Finals Rodeo, the 1996 Summer Olympic games, the East Coast Hockey League (specifically the Birmingham Bulls), as well as high school football and basketball events. Jennifer received a Masters Degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma in July of 2002. She has served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students from six states. She has been an adjunct professor for the PTA program for eight years prior to taking the position of Program Director. She also continues to teach at Southern Nazarene University in the Kinesiology Program. Jennifer is married and has three children, Casady, Caitlin, and Caden.
Mark Brown, PT, CSCS
Mark graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. He graduated from South Eastern Oklahoma State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Mark specializes in orthopaedics and sports medicine and currently works with students, faculty, and dancers at the University of Oklahoma Goddard Health Center. Previously he worked with athletes as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, and Edmond's three high schools as an employee of Edmond Medical Center's Physical Therapy and Sports Institute. Mark worked for HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Waco, Texas for two years and then transferred to Oklahoma City. He has served as a guest lecturer at Oklahoma City Community College PTA Program for several years prior to taking the adjunct faculty position. Mark enjoys traveling, reading and outdoor sports and activities.
Vicky Davidson, PT
Vicky Davidson has been the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education and a full-time faculty member in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program since 1998. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma and has been a Physical Therapist for over thirty years.
Vicky's clinical experience includes neuron-rehabilitation, pediatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. She has administrative experience from working as a department head for fifteen years.
She enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, medical missions, and Rotary International projects. She has two daughters.
Theresa Guererro, PTA
Theresa graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and an emphasis on Health Promotion. She is a graduate of Oklahoma City Community College in May of 2004 with an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant Degree. After graduation she began work as a PTA for HealthSouth in Edmond practicing outpatient orthopaedics and sports medicine. Theresa continues to practice in outpatient orthopaedics for Valir (formerly Renaissance Spine and Rehabilitation) in Edmond. She is married and lives in Oklahoma City.
Danielle Minor, PTA
Danielle Minor graduated from Oklahoma City Community College in May 2006 with an Associate in Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree. After graduation, she began working for Norman Public Schools in the pediatric setting during the 2006-2007 school year. She also works at Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center, located in Baptist Medical Center.
Danielle is continuing her plan of lifelong learning at the University of Oklahoma majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She anticipates receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in May 2010. She currently works at Oklahoma City Community College as a laboratory assistant in the PTA Program. She is married and lives in Oklahoma City.
