Ways to meet with an Advisor
Schedule an Appointment:
Is this your first time taking classes at OCCC?
All newly admitted students must schedule an advising appointment with your Student Success Advisor. We offer to advise both in-person and over Zoom. Evening and weekend advising appointments are also available. By scheduling an appointment with your Student Success Advisor you skip the wait. You can check in and know that you will be seen right away. You can schedule your advising appointment by:

- Download the Navigate App to view your advisor’s availability and schedule an appointment

Walk-In Advising Availability
Beginning the week of June 30/July 1, walk-in advising will be available only on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Wednesday - Friday will be by appointment only.
(The college is closed on Fridays during the summer so appointments will be Wednesday/Thursday only. Friday appointments will become available beginning the week of August 8th).
This change was made in response to feedback from a recent student focus group. It is part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of advising by increasing appointment availability and allowing advisors time to better prepare for each student’s needs.
Walk-in advising is still available to assist current students with quick questions, schedule adjustments, major changes, and general campus resources on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Zoom Distance Advising
Zoom distance advising is offered at the following times during the summer semester.
Monday - Tuesday 11 am. - 4 pm.
Wednesday 9 am. - 7 pm.
Thursday 11 am. - 4 pm.
