Manga Night 2
5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21
Professor Jeff Provine will give a talk adapted from the History of Comics course showing the many genres of manga and how the medium became so diverse. We'll discuss Kodomo-muke, Shojo, and Shonen for younger readers; gritty Seinen; romantic Josei; and subgenres like "magical girl," "mecha." Be sure to check our manga library in the lab. Snacks will be provided.
Coffee and Conversations
Join us for an afternoon of networking and conversation in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. At each session, we will invite a guest who casually shares their experiences and insights in life, studies, career, and cultures.
