General Information
Program Requirements
Oklahoma City Community College requires an assessment/placement exam for all students enrolling in credit courses. Assessment will include measurement of entry-level skills and educational readiness in the topics of reading and reasoning, writing, mathematics, and science. If an acceptable score is not made on the assessment test, students will be required to take the appropriate developmental courses prior to enrolling in the required courses listed above.
Students must be comfortable using the computer, courses in the program will be offered online. Students should be able to navigate the internet, use email, know how to add attachments, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat. If deficiency exists in these areas, enrolling in CS1103 Introduction to Computers and Applications, is recommended.
If a prerequisite is required for a course in the curriculum the prerequisite should be completed before admission into the program or shortly thereafter. The prerequisite course will not be part of the sponsorship package offered to program students.
Current CPR certification. Certification is now for 2 years, but must remain current while in the program. A GPA of 3.0 in college science coursework.
NOTE: Upon admission to the program, a student must undergo a background check as a requirement for clinical research internships.
Admission Form Information
An application form must be submitted to the Clinical Research Program office along with a one page letter discussing your desire to enter the program and a copy of your transcript. The application will be reviewed by the selection committee. At this time sponsorships are available to pay for books and tuition for a qualifying individuals enrolled in the program.
