Student Employment

Following options for off-campus employment must be approved by your DSO official and USCIS: OPT, and Economic Hardship. Find their information here: https://www.ice.gov/sevis/employment

If your employer has offered you’re an H1b, congratulations!!! If your OPT expires before H1b is approved in October please email your DSO at internation@occc.edu and ask for a Cap-Gap extension.

    • Automotive Technology- GM Automotive Service Educational Program

    If so, you are eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT). You must have authorization through and I-20 to do any off campus internships. Find out how here:
