The student will solve linear equations and inequalities, work with formulas, ratios, and proportions to solve applications, analyze, graph and write equations for linear and quadratic functions, use the rules of exponents, scientific notation, and calculation of square roots, solve equations with the quadratic formula, perform operations and identify factors of polynomials, and solve systems of linear equations by graphical and algebraic methods. Additionally, the student will apply math study skills throughout this course.
