Paramedic Care IV is a study of common disorders and emergencies in the geriatric, bariatric, and patients with special challenges including epidemiology, psychosocial impact, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, presentation, prognosis, and management. Course to include clinical reasoning and the development of treatment plans. The student will be expected to accept accountability for personal learning and performance which reflects a complex understanding and ability to apply knowledge and skills in emergencies affecting special populations including polypharmacological impacts, chronic illness, abuse, neglect, poverty, and the terminally ill using the application of standards of paramedic practice. Laboratory and Clinical Shifts included.
