This is a course designed primarily for technical career programs. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to apply chemical concepts and techniques to solve technical problems in the areas of chemistry, environmental measurements and instrumentation. The student will demonstrate a basic knowledge of structure and bonding, the nature of solutions, states of matter, acid-base phenomena, thermodynamics, electrochemistry and elementary organic chemistry. Laboratory experience is an integral part of the course.

ENGL 0203, adequate placement score, or by meeting determined placement measures; APPM 1233 or MATH 1613
