Ceramics II continues to develop the students’ skills in a variety of ceramic techniques. Students will continue to develop their glazing and knowledge of ceramics and its terminology. They will mix their own clay and construct clay pieces using the coil, pinch, wheel, slab and mold methods of construction. They will demonstrate various firing techniques such as raku, sawdust and dung. They will test various pottery glazes and assist in firing pottery in a kiln.
