OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (September 5, 2023) –
Oklahoma City Community College’s music faculty will be performing in a free concert on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the OCCC campus.
The concert is open to the community. Tickets are not required.
Music faculty performers will present Brazilian music for violin and piano, a 21st-century mixed media piece, and a set of traditional jazz featuring guitar, bass, and drums.
“This recital will feature OCCC’s newest music faculty doing what they love to do – play for an audience,” said Michael Boyle, OCCC professor of music. “Our music faculty are great performers as well as being great teachers!”
Additional free concerts will be offered on Sept. 28, Nov. 9 and Dec. 12.
OCCC’s music department offers a two-year Associate Degree program that develops skills in theory, performance, individual and group applied music, and more.
