Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) hired Erick Worrell as the new Executive Director of Marketing and PR. Worrell will oversee the creative vision and day-to-day execution of the college’s internal and external marketing initiatives. He will also serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Named Oklahoma City’s Young Advertising Professional of the Year in 2016 and one of The Journal Record’s Achievers Under 40 in 2019, Worrell is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class 32 and a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City LOYAL Class XII. Worrell is Founder and Creative Director of Mattersword, and previously served as Vice President of Client Service and Creative for Ghost, Senior Director of Business Development and Copywriter for Saxum, Vice President of Development for Staplegun, and Writer and Audio Engineer for New West Group. In 2019, Worrell’s work with Ghost brought more than 40 local and district ADDY awards, the most of any individual or organization in Oklahoma. He is the Vice President of Programming for American Marketing Association, a four-time Career Day Chairperson for American Advertising Federation, and has served as an advisory board member for Oklahoma City University, Metro Technology Centers and Canadian Valley Tech Center.
