Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) has hired Samantha Olah as the college’s new Bursar. Originally from Bradenton, Florida, Olah holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Alaska.

“Samantha is well-versed in higher education billing and finance,” said Cynthia Gary, Chief Financial Officer. “The Bursar plays a key role in planning, directing and implementing systems to effectively bill, collect and safeguard institutional funds.”

Before accepting the position at OCCC, Olah was an accountant with the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority. She also served as the Director of Student Billing at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus.

“I was excited to get back into the higher ed work environment. There is just something about working together to help students succeed, and teach them about financial literacy, that makes my job more enjoyable,” said Olah.
