The Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) STEMVet program will host a webinar featuring Lieutenant Colonel Justin Constantine, a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Purple Heart recipient, April 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. Constantine will deliver an encouraging message to participants, touching on the topics of teamwork and perseverance during difficult times.
Constantine joined the Marine Corps while attending law school. He served on active duty as a JAG officer for six years before being deployed to Iraq as a reservist. While on combat patrol, Constantine was shot in the head and suffered life-threatening injuries. Constantine was awarded the Purple Heart, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon for his service.
Since retiring from the military, Constantine has traveled the world as a motivational speaker and has published two books. He uses his story to inspire others, and show that people can overcome even the toughest obstacles. His articles on military and leadership issues have been published in major news outlets, and he has earned numerous awards for his leadership and service.
