Qualified students with an interest in cybersecurity have the opportunity to earn a full scholarship to Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) thanks to the National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program.

The scholarship covers up to three years of undergraduate and graduate education, tuition & education-related fees, professional certifications and travel to job fairs. In addition, a stipend is paid each academic year in the amount of $25,000.

The SFS program is designed to train and hire the next generation of undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity professionals. Recipients of the scholarship must work for an SFS approved federal, state, local, or tribal Government organization post-graduation in a cybersecurity-related position equivalent to the length of the scholarship. Graduates of the program benefit from increased job prospects, and financial aid.

To be eligible to apply for an SFS scholarship, applicants must be a citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident and meet all requirements for employment in federal service. Applicants must be a student pursuing a cybersecurity-related Associate degree in a program focused on cybersecurity. Applications must have a bachelor degree in any discipline or be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. Applications must be submitted no later than June 1, 2020.
