Greg Daubenspeck has a long and proud history at Oklahoma City Community College. He began as a student, returned as an adjunct professor, and he continues his journey as a Professor of English. He earned a bachelor’s degree (double major) in English and theatre from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, a master’s degree in writing from Oklahoma City University, and a Master of Fine Arts in film and television from the University of California, Los Angeles. For more than twenty years, Professor Daubenspeck has taught a variety of English, humanities, and film courses in Oklahoma, California, and Florida. In addition to OCCC, he has taught at UCLA, OU, Santa Monica College, and Broward College. While an MFA candidate at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, he had the privilege of learning from some of Hollywood’s top professionals, including Gilbert Cates, David Hoberman, Arnold Rifkin, Brad Silberling, and Amy Brenneman. He served as co-producer of UCLA’s Screenwriters Showcase, an annual event honoring the creative works of screenwriters from the MFA program. He has won numerous awards for his writing, including the Jack Nicholson Prize in Screenwriting.
