Want to Get Involved and
Help New College Students?
Remember when you were in enrolled in college? All the questions you had and the uncertainties? As an experienced college student and professional, you can now provide help to current and prospective students by sharing your time and experience. Give back to the College by participating in one (or more) of the following optional service programs:
CAREER MENTORING
Alumni members will have the opportunity to participate in a career mentoring program that matches students with working professionals who will advise and direct students in their chosen field of study. Alumni members who volunteer for the mentoring program will be asked to commit to one student per year and meet with the student at least two times in that year.
SPEAKER'S BUREAU
Many Oklahoma City Community College organizations and groups conduct seminars and meetings that can benefit from expert, professional insights. As part of this program, alumni members agree to commit at least one hour per semester on campus speaking about topics related to their area of expertise.
RECRUITMENT EVENTS
Oklahoma City Community College representatives attend more than 250 recruitment events and college fairs each year. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni members to attend and provide "testimonials" to prospective students. Alumni members who volunteer for this program will be asked to commit to attending at least one recruitment event per semester for two consecutive semesters.
CAMPUS ORGANIZATIONS SPONSOR
More than 25 active campus organizations and clubs are available for alumni members to become involved. This program would require an alumni attend all on-campus meetings (approximately three per semester) with a one-year commitment to the organization or club.
Help a student today find success. Complete the membership form and indicate which program(s) you would like to be a part of (you do not have to participate in these programs to become an Alumni Association Member).
