High School Equivalency (HSE) Classes

OCCC's Community Outreach and Education department offers free High School Equivalency (GED® or HiSET ®) courses to the community in eight week sessions throughout the year.  Certified instructors work with students to meet their educational needs, building from foundational skills and preparing students with everything they'll need to pass the GED® or HiSET ® exams.

Classes are conveniently located throughout the Oklahoma City Metro from Moore to Edmond, Bethany to Midwest City.  We do our best to place you in a class as close to your home or work as possible.

To make our classes as accessible to as many as possible, we offer them on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule, both of which are available in the morning (9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) or evening (6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.).

clipboard Students take a brief assessment when enrolling to help us target their greatest areas of need.  This allows us to place students in an appropriate class working only on the skills they need.  Level 1 classes build foundational skills while Level 2 classes focus on test prep.

Students can enroll by attending an orientation session located at our PDI Center (7124 S. I-35 Service Rd). These orientations will introduce students to our program, the resources available to help them achieve their educational and career goals, and place students in a class based on an assessment.

Orientation is a two day process. The first day of orientation will take the entire 3 hour period. Students may come to second day of orientation any time during the 3hour open enrollment period.

Our orientation schedule is:

Monday/Wednesday Tuesday/Thursday Wednesday/Friday
1:00 - 4:00 p.m. 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

To reserve your spot at one of the orientations, please call 405.682.7873.
