      The Byron Berline Band plays to benefit early childhood education

      Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) and OKnStyle present The Byron Berline Band for a benefit concert Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. in the college's Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) Theater. Sponsored by the Chickasaw Nation, a portion of the proceeds will go to Special Care (www.specialcareinc.org) an organization that provides high-quality early childhood education, specialized care and on-site therapeutic services to children with and without special needs.

      Williams' desired timeless masterpiece to screen at OCCC

      Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) has partnered with Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre (CityRep) to present screenings of National Theatre Live (NTL) performances in the college's Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) Theater. OCCC will conclude this season's partnership Sunday, May 15, 6:00 p.m. with a broadcast screening of Tennessee Williams' timeless masterpiece "A Streetcar Named Desire." This classic stars Gillian Anderson from "The X-files" as Blanch DuBois, Ben Foster from "Lone Survivor" as Stanley and Vanessa Kirby from BBC's "Great Expectations" as Stella.

      OCCC's 43rd commencement ceremony set for May 13

      Forty-three years ago, Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) congratulated its very first graduates, a group of only five students who received their associate degrees in May 1973. This year, OCCC alumni, faculty, family and friends will celebrate with over 2,100 OCCC graduates at the 43rd annual Commencement Ceremony to be held Friday, May 13, at the Cox Convention Center at 7:30 p.m.

      OCCC's Professional Development Institute offers drone operator training

      Turn on any news program and more than likely you'll hear some story involving the use of a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS), or as they are more commonly known as--drones. These small systems continue to grow in popularity, and Oklahoma City Community College's (OCCC) Professional Development Institute (PDI) offers an innovative program to help operators learn how to properly use them and stay in compliance with the ever-changing rules that drone operators are required to follow.

The next broadcast is an exhilarating reinvention of George Bernard Shaw's witty, provocative classic "Man and Superman" Sunday, Apr. 17, 6:00 p.m., starring well-known actor and Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes as Jack Tanner.
