Closed until further notice

  1. Check-In: There will be plastic barriers at the Wellness desk and the customer service desk in the R&F office. Cards will be scanned.  The keypads will be unavailable.
  2. Wellness Center:  Equipment will be limited. Recreation and Fitness (R&F) will close every other piece of equipment in the Wellness Center to allow for social distancing.  The availability of equipment will rotate every other day.  At the top of every hour, R&F will take a “Disinfecting Break” to fog a major section of the Wellness Center.  The break will take 15 minutes and will re-open the fitness center at a quarter after the hour.  During the break, the other major areas will remain open.
  3. Reservations: In an effort to avoid large pooling of participants, a reservation system has been implemented for phase 1 of re-opening of the Wellness Center.  Prior to entry into the Wellness Center, participants will need to make a reservation.  Reservations can be made for each of the following areas in one hour increments: 1) Cardio and Selectorized Machines, 2) Free Weights, 3) Basketball Courts, and 4) Group Exercise Classes.

    The Cardio and Selectorized Machines and Free Weights areas will be limited to eight (eight) persons at a time.  See below for the group exercise and basketball courts participation limits.  During phase 1, only 1 reservation per area, per day will be allowed.  Phase 2 dates will be announced at a later date.

    The reservations must be made prior to check-in. Persons with reservations will have first priority.  The reservation may be administratively cancelled if the person does not show after 10 minutes.  Open slots may be given to those who attempted to make a reservation after slots were filled or to walk-ups.


Need help registering for your time at the Wellness Center? Review these instructions and you'll be a pro in no time.

  1. Group Exercise:  Class size will be limited to six (6) persons per class; this will include the instructor in the Aerobic room, 1C4. The floors will be marked with tape six feet apart.  We will separate the class schedule by 15 minutes for disinfecting rooms.
  2. Basketball Courts: : Basketball courts will be limited to one (1) person.  There will be no sharing of basketballs or 1 on 1 games.   The basketballs will be disinfected upon return.
  3. Masks: Staff will be required to wear masks when on the floor. Members and students are required to wear masks.
  4. Equipment Disinfecting: Participants must wash hands before and after working out. Participants must disinfect equipment before and after each use.
  5. Towels: Towels are available however; participants are encouraged to bring their own towel.
  6. Locker Rooms: Locker rooms will be available and will be disinfected on an hourly basis.  Locker rooms have been arranged for social distancing practices.  Shower shoes will be required.
  7. Youth under 16 years of age are not permitted in the facility.
