OCCC's PDI hosts NIMS On the Job Training Certification Workshop

Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will be hosting the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Certified On-the-Job (OJT) Train the Trainer two-day workshop Monday, Jan. 15, through Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the college’s Professional Development Institute (PDI).

The workshop is suggested for those employees who teach others how to perform job functions in the industrial maintenance industry. They will acquire knowledge to be fully competent trainers, demonstrate the essential training skills and abilities, and prove training subject matter expertise by taking and passing the NIMS exam. 

The two-day workshop provides instructors with the necessary tools and techniques to integrate NIMS credentials within their curriculum. Particular emphasis will be placed on how teach the competencies validated within the four NIMS industrial maintenance credentials.
