Lemuel Bardeguez

Director of Cultural Programs

Mr. Bardeguez is the managing director of the OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center; the director, producer and promoter of the OCCC Performing Arts Series and the college’s flagship annual community arts event, Arts Festival Oklahoma.  He also oversees various college special events and special attractions, as well as use and rentals of the OCCC Inasmuch Foundation Gallery, the 285-seat OCCC Bruce Owen Theater, and the 1,051-seat OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater. 

Mr. Bardeguez is the President for the Oklahoma Presenters Network, the state’s consortium of performing arts presenters; the Oklahoma member at-large of the Southwest Performing Arts Presenters (SWAPAP) consortium; and serves on the board of directors of the Cultural Development Corporation of Central Oklahoma, a nonprofit organization established to develop arts and culture in central Oklahoma through leadership, planning and research.  Prior to arriving at Oklahoma City Community College, Mr. Bardeguez served as the Oklahoma Arts Council Program Director for Community Arts and graduated from the agency's Leadership Arts program.  He has also served as an expert panelist for a number of state arts agencies and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is a graduate of the Oklahoma Arts Council's Leadership Arts program, and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Performing Arts Series Coordinator

Ms. Bosteels has worked at OCCC for ten years, serving as Acting Director of the Cultural Arts Series, grant writer, Cultural Programs Marketing Coordinator, and in her current position. Previously she was the Marketing/PR Director for Canterbury Choral Society.  She created and managed the series “Concerts on the Hill” in Pleasanton, CA. She has played flute for forty years, and played regularly at First Presbyterian Church OKC; with the Cimarron Wind Quintet; in recitals, and on the Kemp Concert Series. She is a founding member of the Oklahoma Presenters’ Network, a graduate of the Oklahoma Arts Council’s Leadership Arts program and a published author. Ms. Bosteels holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota- Minneapolis.

 Richard Charnay

Assistant Director of Cultural Programs

Mr. Charnay is responsible for booking, rentals and advancing, coordinating and settling events in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater, the Bruce Owen Theater, Sarkey’s Atrium and the Inasmuch Gallery. He comes to OCCC after a 38-year career with the City of Oklahoma City. During that time he was Stage Manager of the Civic Center Music Hall for 19 years, Event Coordinator for 7 years and Event Manager for the last 12 years. Mr. Charnay also served as Event Coordinator and Event Manager for the Rose State Performing Arts Theatre for the last 15 years. His experience in performing arts center management includes events ranging from symphony orchestras to rap concerts, Broadway musical series to local dance productions, and political conventions to wedding receptions.  He also serves as the technical coordinator and contributing researcher for the Yom HaShoa (Holocaust) program for the Jewish Federation of OKC and is a member of the Federation board. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre from Oklahoma City University.

 John Farrell

John Farrell

Stage Manager

As a Journeyman of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Mr. Farrell worked with Oklahoma City performing arts programs for over fifteen years. After four years in the Marine Corps, he returned to Oklahoma City to become Assistant Stage Manager for the Civic Center Music Hall.  After the Civic Center reopened in 2001, Mr. Farrell was promoted to Operations Manager. In 2012 he began work part-time as a Stage Tech at OCCC, working productions in the Bruce Owen Theatre and assisting in the opening of the VPAC Theatre. He was hired in February, 2014 as Stage Manager, responsible for the VPAC and Bruce Owen Theatres.

 Andi Gleichman

Assistant Stage Manager and Head Carpenter

Ms. Gleichman joined the Cultural Programs staff in January, 2014.  She has worked for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Oklahoma City Ballet, Lyric Theatre and the Civic Center Music Hall. Ms. Gleichman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Instrumental Music Education from East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma.

 Kurt Leftwich

Box Office Specialist

Mr. Leftwich joined Cultural Programs in September, 2014. He previously worked as Patron Services Coordinator with OKC CityRep Theatre, Front of House Manager for Lyric Theatre, and Communications Specialist for the Chickasaw Nation in Ada. He has also worked for Ackerman McQueen, OETA, and the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Leftwich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.

 Thomas "Derek" Manalo

Thomas "Derek" Manalo

House Sound and Video Engineer

Mr. Manolo comes to OCCC from Las Vegas with over ten years of experience in the entertainment industry, including sound design, studio engineer, and head audio engineer, for countless shows on the Las Vegas Strip. He has also spent ten years touring as lead audio engineer for "The Rat Pack is Back", and has worked with performers such as Trace Adkins, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, and Aerosmith.

 Thomas Muhn

Theater Technician - Lighting

Mr. Muhn is responsible for stage lighting in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater. He has worked in theatre for more than thirty years, and has served as technical director, light and set designer, tour manager, master electrician, and head audio engineer. Mr. Muhn has worked with Broadway and popular music shows on national and world tours.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theater/Light & Scenic Design from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM.

 Chuck Riley

Chuck Riley

Coordinator of Cultural Programs Events

Mr. Riley is responsible for Front of House, volunteer and usher needs for the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater, the Bruce Owen Theater, and Arts Festival Oklahoma. Previously he worked for 34 years with The Hertz Corporation in various roles, from application development to project management.  Mr. Riley has served as a STARS volunteer for the City of Oklahoma City since 2006, mainly supporting events held at the Civic Center Music Hall. He also serves in an auditor capacity for the Arts Council of Oklahoma City during the annual Arts Festival and Opening Night events.  He is a recipient of The President’s Volunteer Service Award – Bronze Level.  Mr. Riley attended San Diego State University, and is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

 Scott Tigert

Cultural Programs Assistant

Mr. Tigert assists with operations of the Performing Arts Series, Arts Festival Oklahoma, the Inasmuch Foundation Gallery, and rentals of the Visual Performing Arts Center Theater and the Sarkeys Foundation Atrium.  Scott holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Oklahoma. Previously he served as an instructor of Art History at Seminole State College and as a curator/educator for the Center of the American Indian (currently Red Earth).
