Due to inclement weather, OCCC is closed today, Saturday, February 28. All classes are canceled. This includes the main campus, FACE Center, Capitol Hill Center and Professional Development Institute (PDI). Events in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater, the Bruce Owen Theater and the Aquatic Center will still go on as scheduled, but all other activities have been canceled.

Please practice caution when coming to and leaving campus as secondary roads, driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks may be icy and slippery. 

Campus closings and delayed openings will be announced through local radio and television stations and posted on the college’ s website, Facebook and Twitter pages. They will also be announced through the college’s Campus Alert Notification (CAN) System.

OCCC Certificate Programs

Oklahoma City Community College offers a wide variety of certificate programs designed to prepare you for immediate employment in the workforce upon successful completion of the program. Completion of program requirements for a certificate prepares you to meet requirements of state agencies or other organizations which certify or license individuals to work in specific occupations. Coursework taken as part of a certificate program will apply toward course requirements for an associate degree in the same program.

  • Program Costs: Costs vary among the certificate programs based on the number of credit hours in the program and the cost for books and supplies. These direct costs will be charged to you by the college. Information provided is based on entire program costs.

Oklahoma City Community College is a commuter campus and you should plan for costs to travel to and from campus. All students are encouraged to seek financial assistance for helping with costs you will incur. By filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) you will be able to access assistance you may qualify for. By taking the opportunity to file the FAFSA, the net costs to you in working toward a certificate or degree may be reduced significantly making your college education affordable.

On-time Completion Rates: Information about the length of the program you are interested in and the normal amount of time to complete the program is provided. Some students attend on a part time basis which will naturally extend the time frame for completion.

Median Loan Debt: Students may need to borrow from the Federal Direct Loan Program in order to help pay for costs to earn the certificate. Information is provided on the median loan debt of students who have borrowed to attend your program of interest.
