Absolute Literary Anthology

The Absolute, a literary and artistic journal of Oklahoma City Community College has been published annually since the beginning of the college in 1972. It features short fiction, non-fiction, poetry, photography, and art. Absolute is published in both print and  online versions. The deadline for submissions is December 1.

Annual Essay Contest

Sponsored by Oklahoma City Community College Division of English & Humanities, the Annual Essay Contest is open to all students enrolled in College Preparation English (ENGL 0203), English Composition I (ENGL 1103 or ENGL 1113), or English Composition II (ENGL 1203 or ENGL 1213) during Spring, Summer, or Fall semester. Students may enter one essay per course. Prizes donated by McGraw-Hill. The deadline for submissions is the last day of the Fall Semester.

Mosaics Project

This multiple panel mosaic panorama has been created by OCCC students, faculty, and staff under the direction of Professor of Art Mary Ann Moore. The panels, each measuring 12 feet by 32 feet, may be viewed in the courtyard in the main building. More information about the project and a gallery of images are available at the  Mosaics Project. Another find example of mosaics work created by OCCC is the  Oklahoma Centennial Mosaic Mural  located on the Bricktown canal in downtown Oklahoma City.

OCCC Art Gallery

The OCCC Art Gallery is located in the Visual and Performing Arts center. It offers an ever-changing display of art of ten created by OCCC students or nationally touring exhibits.
