The Department of Public Safety is dedicated to providing a safe, secure environment for everyone on campus. There are officers on duty inside and outside whenever classes are in session.

Escorting people to and from parking lots is one of the services this office performs. They offer assistance when keys are locked in cars or when a vehicle has a dead battery. Students and others who visit campus are encouraged to become familiar with the parking and traffic regulations that are in effect.

In an emergency situation there are several ways to get assistance from Safety and Security. Located at most of the major entries to the College are red emergency phones that connect directly with the office. The office is located on the first floor of the Main Building in area 1K8.

Being aware of what is going on around you is the best way to prevent crime and avoid becoming a victim. Locking cars and putting important items out of sight are also good tips. In addition, it's very important to not leave personal items unattended. Call (405) 682-1611, Ext. 7691.
