HiSET logoRequirements for Test Admission       

To take the High School Equivalency exam in the state of Oklahoma, individuals must meet the following eligibility requirements:

High School Equivalency Status:
You must not be enrolled, nor required to be enrolled, in high school, and you cannot have a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.

Age:

  • If you are 
    18 years of age or older, you may test without any special conditions.

  • If you are 
    16 or 17 years of age, you must complete the 
    Release Form for 16- and 17-Year-Old Students (PDF)
    and submit the completed form to the test center before scheduling your exam.

  • No one 
    under 16
    may test.

Identification:
 You must present a government-issued ID on test day at the HiSET test center. Outdated or expired ID will not be accepted. Acceptable ID includes:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A valid state-issued picture identification card
  • Passport
  • Military ID
  • Other forms of national or foreign government ID

How to Register

Set up a HiSET Account

To take the HiSET, you will need to create an account. This allows you to select test center and dates and time that you prefer for your examination. You can set up the account at http://hiset.ets.org/take/hiset_account

Disability Accommodations

If you have a disability or health-related need and require testing accommodations, you must request your accommodations through ETS before you schedule an appointment. The approval process can take six weeks or more, so be sure to allow enough time before your desired test date. See Disability Accommodations.

Cost:

Fees and Refunds

The cost per test administration for both the paper- and computer-delivered versions is $70 for the full battery and $15 for a single subtest, which includes scoring and reporting. This is paid on the HiSET website.
