Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Liberal Studies program at Oklahoma City Community College, students will be able to:

  • Identify how ideas, beliefs and values help shape global communities and the function of major social institutions in them.
  • Compose written work that displays adherence to the conventions of academic writing, including development of thesis or main idea, paragraph development, proper spelling and grammar usage, and usage of evidence and examples.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking using mathematical properties, application of properties and performing computations, and summarizing conclusion and evaluation.
  • Exhibit proficient communication principles and practices in public speaking.
  • Think critically, analyze and critique information, and draw reasoned conclusions.
