The Set Construction Intensive course is designed for students who have moderate tool/shop experience to learn the terminology, best practices, and skills to transition into the Construction Department on Motion Picture Productions as Set Carpenters. Students will learn flat, subfloor, ceiling, door, window, and step construction/installation. All these step will culminate with a completed industry standard film set. Highly Recommend purchasing your own carpenters tool belt. All other tools and materials will be supplied in the course.

Peter Burton, a UK native , is a member of IATSE Local 484. Peter has worked in Construction in various positions to include Construction Coordinator/Foreman on numerous feature films and TV series. Notably American Gods, Alita-Battle Angel, I Can Only Imagine, Reservation Dogs, Yellowstone-1883, and Tulsa King.
He enjoys nurturing, teaching, and evolving his quiver of skills, and looks forward greatly to providing vital preparatory instruction with students seeking to enter the TV and film industries.
