How do I get to the OCCC Bruce Owen Theater?
The OCCC Bruce Owen Theater is located inside OCCC's Arts and Humanities Center, on the West side of the campus. The OCCC campus is located at 7777 S. May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK, 73159. List of all maps.

Where do I park?
Parking lots C and D are closest to the entrances nearest the Theater lobby. Parking is free. View a campus map.

What access and parking is available for visitors with disabilities?
OCCC is an ADA compliant facility; all entries are wheelchair accessible. All OCCC parking lots have designated handicap parking spaces which are clearly identified and reserved for vehicles displaying a valid handicap parking permit. A circular drive, off of Parking Lot D, is available for easy drop-off and pick-up of visitors with disabilities. It is located just outside College Union (CU) Entry 1, the closest to the Theater Lobby. There is limited space inside the theater for wheelchair seating. To arrange for wheelchair seating, please call (405) 682-7579.

How early should I arrive for an event?
Doors open 30 minutes before a scheduled event. For a first-time visitor to the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater, or the Bruce Owen Theater, we recommend you arrive on campus no later than 20 minutes prior to a performance to allow for enough time to park and find the theater lobby and restrooms.

What if I arrive late?
Late seating is provided at the first available break in a performance. Ticket takers will instruct you when it is appropriate to enter the Theater. Please take the first empty seat(s) you see along the back as quickly as possible. House/Audience lights are brought down to full dark 15 minutes after an event has begun. No late seating until intermission is allowed after this period due to safety regulations. The lobby of the theater has seating and a monitor which broadcasts the production.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes. Tickets may be purchased in the Theater lobby one hour prior to a performance, until seats are no longer available, or until 20 minutes after a performance has begun, whichever comes first.

Where is the Box Office located?
To purchase advance tickets in person (cash, check or credit card), visit the Oklahoma City Community College Box Office, M-F, between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Box Office is located in the atrium of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the NW side of the Oklahoma City Community College campus, at 7777 S. May Avenue.

Where is the Will Call desk?
Will Call tickets may be available in the Visual and Performing Arts Center Box Office (for events being held in this theater), or the Bruce Owen Theater Lobby (for events being held in this theater) beginning one hour prior to each performance. A photo I.D. may be requested.

May I bring food into the Theater?
Beverages purchased at the Visual and Performing Arts Center Concession stand may be brought into the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater; food is not allowed.  Food and beverages are not permitted inside the Bruce Owen Theater; please discard those items in the trash receptacles located in the Theater lobby.

What should I wear?
Patrons typically wear anything from casual, suitable for a professional environment, to semi-formal attire to our performances.

Are children allowed?
Children 6 years and older are allowed into most Performing Arts Series performances. All infants and children must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult. To confirm if a production is appropriate for your child/children, please call (405) 682-7579 prior to purchasing tickets. If your child creates a disturbance or interferes with anyones enjoyment of a performance, you will be asked to kindly remove him/her from the general seating area. The lobby of the theater has seating and a monitor which broadcasts the production.

Is there a coat/claim check area?
At this time, there is no coat/claim check area in the OCCC Bruce Owen Theater lobby.

Are recording devices/photographs allowed at your concerts?
Unless so indicated in the program, photography and audio/video recordings of any kind are strictly prohibited during any performance, except by authorized OCCC personnel.

May I smoke?
OCCC is a smoke-free campus. Use of tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, anywhere within OCCC campus grounds, is strictly prohibited. Violators run the risk of being ticketed by OCCC Police Department personnel.

May I use my cell phone or other electronic device during the performance?
Patrons with cellular telephones, alarm watches and/or electronic paging systems will be asked to turn their devices off prior to the start of each performance. To ensure all patrons can enjoy their outing without distractions, we ask that all refrain from making and receiving phone calls, and from texting while a production is underway.

Are donations to the OCCC Foundation tax deductible?

May I provide feedback about my experience?
Absolutely! Comment cards are available in the lobby during each performance. Additionally, the Office of Cultural Programs conducts formal mid-season and end-of-season evaluations during the December and April concerts.
