OCCC to Honor Alumni

Six Oklahoma City Community College alumni are being inducted into the 2008 Alumni Hall of Fame on Nov. 13.

The Alumni Hall of Fame is a prestigious annual award that recognizes a select group of former OCCC students showcasing their career and civic accomplishments over the years. "OCCC alumni make outstanding contributions to their communities. We are excited to have played a role in the successes of our former students," said OCCC President Paul Sechrist.

Also being inducted as an Honorary Alumni is Al M. Snipes, Oklahoma City business and community leader. "Al Snipes is truly a life-long community advocate for the College. His contributions will forever benefit the students of OCCC," said President Sechrist.

The 2008 Alumni Hall of Fame inductees include:

  • Kelly E. Criser, Teacher, Oklahoma School for the Deaf
  • James R. Dickson, President, BancFirst Trust and Investment Management
  • Tom Lee, Photographer
  • Robin D. McMurry, OCCC Professor of Nursing, Author
  • Anita J. Williams, OCCC Professor of Business
  • Kathy L. Williams, Community Volunteer

The OCCC Alumni Hall of Fame Banquet will be held at OCCC, 7777 South May Avenue, Oklahoma City. For ticket information, call the OCCC Foundation at 682-7591.
