Oklahoma City Community College mourns the loss of former state legislator Marvin York, a visionary leader whose dedication and perseverance led to the creation of OCCC.
As the driving force behind the petition drive, Mr. York’s efforts secured the support of south Oklahoma City residents, paving the way for the establishment of a two-year college that continues to serve our community today. His legacy will forever be a part of OCCC’s story.
