International Student Services
International Student Services (ISS) performs international student recruitment and
admissions, provides international student success advising, assists international
students with immigration needs and oversees the US Citizen and Immigration Services
(USCIS) Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) reporting compliance.
ISS engages in international recruitment, processes international applications, issues
SEVIS I-20 documents (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status),
provides immigration counseling and assists international students in filing for Optional
Practical Training (OPT), Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and reinstatement with
USCIS. Furthermore, ISS performs all international student academic advising, degree
planning, enrollment, and ultimately transfer to four-year institutions.
The main objectives are to create a welcoming and supportive environment for international
students to help them achieve their academic goals while also ensuring that both students
and the College comply with federal immigration regulations. Through these efforts,
ISS supports the institutional goals of increasing student enrollment and retention
while celebrating diversity. For International Student Services, please visit: https://www.occc.edu/international/index.html
