Oklahoma City Community College Capitol Hill Center
Oklahoma City Community College Capitol Hill Center (CHC) is one of the few bilingual
centers in the State of Oklahoma. It opened in the fall of 2000 with a mission to
provide access to education through computers and technology for all individuals living
within the Capitol Hill area. The CHC offers a variety of non-credit education classes
including adult basic education, English as a second language, HSE (High School Equivalency)
prep, College for Kids (grades 5 through 8), ACT prep workshops and a variety of personal
enrichment classes such as basic and intermediate computer applications and job readiness.
Instruction is offered in Spanish and English with some classes in Korean. The CHC

Cultural Programs
The Department of Cultural Programs aims to enrich the lives of students, staff, and
the south Oklahoma City community through cultural arts and arts education activities.
The Department’s primary functions include: administration, scheduling, and rentals
of OCCC’s two theater venues; booking and promotion of touring attractions; and the
administration and scheduling of art shows and exhibits showcased in the Inasmuch
Foundation Gallery.
Touring Attractions (Performing Arts Series) OCCC offers educational and entertaining concerts by professional touring performing
artists each academic year. Â Performances are ticketed events, open to the public,

Inasmuch Foundation Gallery - The Inasmuch Foundation Gallery features temporary exhibitions that change approximately
five times each year. End of semester exhibitions feature the work of OCCC students.
The remaining exhibits showcase works produced by community arts organizations, local
artists, and touring exhibits. Admission is free. The Inasmuch Foundation Gallery

Theater Rentals - OCCC Cultural Programs oversees the rentals of two theatrical venues (The Bruce
Owen Theater and the Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater), and the lobby of
the VPAC Theater, known as the Sarkeys Atrium. The Bruce Owen Theater is housed inside
the College's main building and is a small, intimate proscenium theater that seats
285. The Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater is a large state-of-the-art proscenium
theater that seats 1,049. The Sarkeys Atrium has a warming kitchen and is available
for special events when the theater is not in use.
Student Tickets - A limited number of complimentary tickets are available to current students for
many special events taking place in the OCCC Theaters. Most eligible events allow
two complimentary tickets per student I.D. Student tickets must be reserved in advance
with an @my.occc.edu email address, using the online form located at https://occc-deazd.formstack.com/forms/strs. With a valid Student ID and based on availability, tickets may also be secured 30
minutes before each event from the Theater Ticket Office located inside the Visual
and Performing Arts Center.
