Mona is an adjunct professor for the OCCC SLPA program teaching coursework for the first three semesters in the program. She teaches Phonetics, Language Disorders in the Exceptional Child and Instructional Procedures in Communication Disorders. She also is employed full-time as a clinical associate professor and clinical educator at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the training program for speech-language pathologists. She teaches two undergraduate courses and supervises second year graduate interns in their diagnostics rotation. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist since 1985. She worked primarily in the public school setting until 2004 when she came to OUHSC. She previously served on the Continuing Education Board for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and as the Governmental Regulations Chairperson for the Oklahoma Speech Language Hearing Association (OSHA). She currently serves on the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA) and as a site visitor for the Council for Academic Accreditation.
