Division of Business and Information Technology (BIT) Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What help does the Accounting Lab offer?
One-on-one tutoring is offered. The amount of personal tutoring you will receive will depend on how busy the lab is when you choose to come in. You are encouraged to come early, as the Lab is very busy on test days, and the day before the test. The lab offers practice tests, handouts, videos and other resources in addition to one-on-one tutoring.
How can I use the Accounting Lab to help myself?
One study shows time spent on homework can be reduced if you do homework the day it is reviewed in class. If you do the homework in the Lab, you can get immediate help if you get stuck or don't understand something, saving even more time! Again, coming early will help you get the help you need before you are in a bind and out of time as your tests approach.
Do I have to sign up to get help in the Accounting Lab?
No, the Lab serves students on a drop-in basis. The lab is open during posted hours for all current OCCC accounting students. The only requirement is a current OCCC student I.D., and your own textbook and materials.
