Available Services

Lab TourLab Tour

A member of the lab team will explain how to use the lab, how the lab benefits students, and some of our additional services. Lab tours generally last about 15 to 20 minutes, and they can be given in the lab or in an instructor's classroom.

Do your students need a refresher on MLA formatting or how to correctly quote or paraphrase? We offer workshops covering 19 different writing related topics.  And if we don't have one that fits your needs, we can work with you to craft one. Also, many of our workshops include collaborative activities, so students will be able to apply what they have learned with the guidance of our trained staff.  Our workshops usually last around 50 minutes to an hour, and they can be presented in your classroom or in reserved lab space. Some instructors even choose to reserve a workshop for a handful of interested students outside of their class time, so they don't have to sacrifice their own lesson plans.

Technology or Room ReservationTechnology / Room Reservation

Instructors needing special event space or additional computer resources can reserve the lab for their students. The lab has 35 computer workstations and several iPads and Dell Netbooks for collaborative or individual activities.  In addition to the technology resources, instructors can reserve one of the lab's spaces for workshops or other activities.
