File Management

Create a folder called Biology (or some other name) to save all of the homework and/or lab report files you download. These files will all be in the rich text format. Complete these assignments and save them as rtf files. Do not use any spaces in the file name or any illegal characters such as [ ] : or { }. Check the file before you upload it to make sure it is the correct file in the rtf format. WebCT will not accept files that are not RTF or with illegal characters. Refer to the file management section of the College General Online orientation for more detail.

Read This if you use Internet Explorer.

SAVE a file before you open it. If you open the file first and then save it, your computer will add [1] to the file name. WebCT considers [ ] to be illegal characters and will not be able to open the file. You may get an error message when you try to upload a file with [ ] in it.
