 Summer Sport Camps are for girls and boys ages 6–12.

All sport camps are focused on teaching basic fundamentals and building the skills and confidence of young athletes in a fun and safe environment.

Campers enrolled in morning and afternoon camps will have a supervised lunch from 12pm–1pm. Campers may bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch ticket from the cafeteria for $5.25/day.

Before Care is offered for parents to allow early drop-offs prior to the 7:45am camp drop off time. This service is offered at a minimal charge of $10.00 per week. Campers must be registered for before care services  on the Friday prior to the Monday start date of camp. OCCC will not be responsible for children dropped off prior to 7:00 AM.

Before Care: 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM/$10.00 

Sport camp and Before Care registration and payment must be made by 5:00pm the Friday prior to the start date of camp.

Sport Camp Fee:  $65 per week

Intro Basketball Fundamentals

Ages 6 - 9

Intro to basketball will focus on the basic fundamental skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing and team play. Campers will enjoy non-competitive 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 group games as well as learning the importance of stretching and warming up before games.

Intro Soccer Fundamentals

Ages 6 - 9

This camp is designed to teach the beginning fundamentals of soccer such as foot position, dribbling, passing and more. Campers will enjoy non-competitive drills and games while learning the importance of stretching and warming up prior to playing games.

Karate camp will help children develop a greater self-confidence and a "can do" attitude. The camp will also expose children to practical self-defense techniques through role play.

T-ball camp will cover the basic fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching and running the bases. Campers must bring their own glove and cap to camp.

 

July 7 - 11volleyball

Volleyball Fundamentals (Girls)
 

Ages 10 - 15

Campers will be taught the basic skills and teamwork required to excel in volleyball. Fundamentals including serving, bumping, setting, spiking and blocking which will be emphasized in drills, instruction and scrimmages.

Multi Sport Fundamentals (Basketball and Soccer)

Multi-sport camp is ideal for introducing athletics by allowing children to sample up to 2 sports in one camp! This camp is designed to expose children to the fundamentals of both soccer and basketball. Multi-sport camp gives kids the opportunity to play multiple sports,exercise, and have fun.  

July 14 - 18swim

Advanced Competitive Swimming (1PM - 5PM)

Ages 10 - 18

This exciting week-long, co-ed summer camp is for swimmers wanting to improve their competitive swimming techniques. Campers will work on the technical aspects of strokes, training, and the strategies needed for each camper to compete at their peak. Campers should be able to swim 25 yards of all four competitive strokes without stopping.

Indoor Track and Field

Ages 6 - 9

Campers will enjoy competing in track and field events such as the 50 and 100 meter dash plus standing long jump. Campers will learn to run relays and other track and field related events.

July 21 - 25balls

Multi Sport Fundamentals (Volleyball and Kickball)

July 21 - 25girls

Intro Dance Techniques (Jazz and Hip Hop)

Ages 6 - 12

Boys - Girls: SCMP 0100 014

Children will be introduced to the beginning dance techniques of Hip Hop. Hip Hop comes from street dance styles. Hip hop is the style of dance featured in popular music videos and award shows. Hip hop includes breaking, popping, locking and krumping. Special attention will be given to safety and proper stretching techniques. Students will perform a hip hop dance routine at the end of camp.

July 28 - August 1boys

Intro Flag Football Fundamental

Ages 6 - 12

Boys - Girls: SCMP 0100 015

Campers will practice the basic skills and teamwork necessary to succeed in non-contact football. Fundamentals include throwing, catching, positions and formations, as well as participating in drills to improve balance, dexterity and speed.

Campers will enjoy exciting games of flag football.

 

July 28 - August 1girl

Intro Cheer/Dance Fundamentals

Ages 6 - 12

Cheer and Dance together? That’s right! In this camp, students will learn cheer and jazz dance combinations with pom-poms. Focus will be on jazz dance combinations, kicks, jumps, turns and basic tumbling. Special attention will be given to safety and proper stretching techniques. Students will perform a cheer dance routine at the end of camp.
