The students of Oklahoma City Community College are the primary focus of Campus Recreation. The Recreation & Fitness department is committed to providing a vast array of recreational opportunities through its facilities and programs that fit the needs of all students.
Students who have paid tuition can enjoy full access to the Wellness and Aquatic Centers with a valid OCCCC student ID. Take advantage of everything the Wellness and Aquatics centers have to offer, cardio and weight rooms, student group fitness class discounts, swimming, basketball courts, and much more.
In addition, OCCC Campus Recreation offers a variety of fantastic programming throughout each semester.
INTRAMURALS & SPORTS CLUBS
The intramural program provides students with the opportunities to compete individually or with a team in a variety of sport activities. For those wanting a more competitive atmosphere, joining a Sport Club can lead to more structured competition representing OCCC in NIRSA regional tournaments against other universities.
OCCC Group Fitness classes are designed to provide students with a safe, effective and fun workout! Classes are offered at a variety of fitness levels and are spaced conveniently throughout the afternoon and late evening hours. Students may purchase a group fitness pass which will allow them access to all group fitness classes for the fall and spring semesters for a fee of $45.
To purchase a student group fitness pass you must present a valid OCCC student ID at the Wellness Center desk.
Certifications for CPR, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor courses are offered to students as well as sport league officials certification through the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
Student can also find employment opportunities through OCCC Campus Recreation as well. Positions are available in both the wellness and aquatics areas. Student positions are on temporary part-time bases during the fall, spring and summer semesters.
Campus Recreation also provides information about volunteer opportunities for students to volunteer for Recreation & Fitness aquatic and recreational events throughout the fall and spring semesters.
