Spring Schedules
The Aquatic Center at Oklahoma City Community College was built in 1989 and served initially as the outdoor venue for all aquatic competitions during the 1989 U.S. Olympic Festival. In 1991, the College completed construction of the Health Technologies Center which included enclosing the Aquatic Center.
Recently awarded the 2002 National Recreation and Parks Association Award of Excellence, the OCCC Aquatic Center is regarded as one of the top facilities of its kind in the nation. The competitive pool is 50 meters long and 25 meters wide. A four-foot wide, movable bulkhead provides the flexibility to accommodate a 25-yard short course swim meet or a 50-meter long course meet. The pool also features a side ramp that provides access to disabled or wheelchair-bound individuals.
The separate diving well is equipped with 4 one-meter springboards, 4 three-meter springboards and platforms at five, seven, and ten meters. The well is ideal for diving practice and SCUBA classes with its depth of 18' 6". The facility has plenty of seating for spectators--we can fit 1,000 in the bleachers as well as athlete seating for up to 500.
Oklahoma City Community College is host to the premiere in-door competitive natatorium in the state and region. As a result, OCCC is the home of many state, regional and national competitions.

Adult Lap Swim/Water Walking/Deep Water Walking
Designed for those 15 years or older who can swim or move through the length of the pool NON-Stop within the designated circle swim pattern. Must be able to understand and follow the principle of lap swim etiquette.

OPEN RECREATION SWIM
Come participate in a fun swim for all ages. Enjoy water basketball or volleyball, diving and more. Children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

SAFETY SATURDAYS
The first Saturday of the month OCCC will present a safety topic. Talk to Sherri Hulett about offering topics that the employees can get safety training credit for. Fire emergency - developing your fire escape plan. Talk to Sheila with the Fire Department about using some of the Risk Watch information.

Come brush up on your skills every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Diving well does not open until 7:00 pm. All SCUBA divers must be currently certified and sign in with proof of certification. Equipment MUST be cleaned prior to use in the pool. Please call in advance due to special events that may be taking place, 682-1611 ext. 7662.
