Pharmacy Program
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
Basic Prescriptions & Dispensing
This nine-week course consists of 36 classroom hours.
Curriculum includes instruction in state regulations, insurance restrictions, mathematics relating to job performance, applicable law, nomenclature, introduction to basic IV admixture, computerized pharmacy systems and basic skills needed to work in pharmacies, hospitals and retail businesses. Coursework also includes classroom exercises and competency reviews.
Prerequisites for the class are a high school diploma or GED. Good math skills are recommended. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the class (75% or better)
The Pharmacy Technician I program is taught by a certified Pharmacy Technician

Cost: $480.00 (includes 36 hours of instruction and two textbooks approved by the American Pharmacists Association)
