Dr. Djuhertati Imam Muhni


indonesian flag DR. DJUHERTATI IMAM MUHNI is Fulbright Scholar-In-Residence at Murray State College, Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She completed her doctoral dissertation at Maryland University at College Park and her master's thesis at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. "Tati" has a continuing interest in studying the changes in Javanese culture and society as compared to the changes in Southern culture in the United States. Chairing the American Studies Graduate Program at Gadjah Mada Univeristy, Dr. "Tati" got the opportunity to be in close contact with Fulbright visiting professors with various fields of interest. "We derive cross-cultural understanding from these associations since on one hand I learn more about American values and on the other I give them an insight into Indonesian and Javanese culture.
