As fuel emissions are an ongoing concern for the environment, more and more fleet systems are switching to the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel source. Oklahoma City Community College’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) is embracing this movement with CNG training and certification programs for automotive technicians.
Oklahoma City Community College will have a CNG vehicle on display during the upcoming OKC International Auto Show at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Mar. 4 through Mar. 6. Come and learn more about the clean burning fuel and how fleets across the country are using it. Representatives from the college’s automotive and alternative fuels programs will be available to answer any questions about the CNG vehicle and programs offered at the PDI.
There will also be an opportunity to enter a drawing to win a small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS), commonly known as a drone, provided by the sUAS Academy at OCCC.
The PDI at OCCC is dedicated to enhancing economic growth and the quality of life for businesses and individuals by providing timely, cost effective, highly focused education, training and consulting services to improve workforce skill levels. For more information about the CNG vehicles or programs at OCCC’s PDI, contact PDI Director John Claybon at (405) 682-7855 or jclaybon@occc.edu.
