Contemporary pop artist Jim Brickman is scheduled to perform at Oklahoma City Community College as another brilliant addition to the college’s 2015-2016 Performing Arts Series (PAS). The performance will be held in the college’s Visual and Performing Arts Center (VPAC) Theater Tuesday, Mar. 8, at 7:30 p.m.
Brickman began his piano career at the age of eight. By the age of 12, he had found his mentor in a Cleveland Institute of Music graduate, and eventually attended the prestigious institute himself. In 2011, the institute established a scholarship in his name.
As the most charted Billboard adult contemporary artist, two-time Grammy nominee, and the recipient of four gold albums, Brickman continues to entertain audiences with his showcase of new music and popular works from his two-decade tenure as a contemporary pop artist. Brickman will charm his audience with his romantic piano melodies and engaging wit. The Platinum Tour will please fans with hits like “Valentine,” “Rocket to the Moon,” “Love of My Life,” and “If You Believe.”
Kid Koala’s “Nufonia Must Fall”, a magical theatre experience with live film, puppetry and music, will be the final performance in the lineup of world-class productions in the PAS Friday, Apr. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the VPAC Theater.
