In an effort to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone on campus, Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will be conducting a full scale evacuation drill on Thursday, October 13, 2016. The purpose of this drill is to ensure that individuals recognize the evacuation notification and know how to respond.
Participants will be asked to exit the building and assemble a safe distance away. There will be no vehicle access to the campus during the drill.
Each drill is expected to last no more than 15 minutes.
This drill will include all Oklahoma City Community College sites at the following times:
- 10:40 a.m.—Main Campus—7777 S. May Ave. — Evacuate to Faculty Circle
- 10:40 a.m.—Professional Development Institute (PDI)—7124 S. I-35 Service Rd. — Evacuate to Crossroads Mall Parking Lot
- 11:20 a.m.—Family and Community Education (FACE) Center—6500 S. Land Ave. — Evacuate to John Glenn Elementary School
- 11:20 a.m.—Capitol Hill Center—123 S.W. 25th — Evacuate to OCCC Parking Lot
The housing and businesses surrounding each site may hear or see the drill taking place.
