Caring Van to Offer Free Immunizations for Children

The Caring Van comes to OCCC.

Partnering together for the sake of children, Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), the Oklahoma Caring Foundation and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma will host the Caring Van at the OCCC Family and Community Education (FACE) Center, Thursday, April 10 to provide free immunizations to children who are uninsured, underinsured, Medicaid eligible and Native American.

The Caring Van service is funded by the Oklahoma Caring Foundation and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Parents can bring their children for the vaccinations from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Open to the public, all community members are welcome. Parents must bring each child's current shot record, and a parent or guardian must be present to complete required paperwork.

The Caring Van will be set up in the OCCC FACE Center parking lot, located at 6500 S. Land Ave. For more information, please call the OCCC Child Development Center and Lab School at (405) 682-7561.
