Latin Grammy nominated Quattro to visit OCCC

Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will host the Latin Grammy nominated quartet Quattro Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. as a part of their Performing Arts Series.

Los Angeles based Quattro is raising the bar of originality with fresh compositions and innovative arrangements that "pay homage to the classics" and forges a new, contemporary sound. Quattro fuses classical crossover, Latin pop and contemporary jazz to produce a performance to be remembered, appealing to all ages and musical tastes.

Their debut album "Popzzical" garnered enormous critical acclaim and received a 2014 Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

Quattro's music is composed and/or arranged by group members: Giovanna Clayton (cello and vocals), Lisa Dondlinger (violin and vocals), Kayta Matsuno (guitar and vocals) and Jorge Villanueva (percussion and vocals). Together they combine their love for various musical styles and cultural backgrounds to create an incredible new sound they are sharing with the world.

Tickets are $15-$45 and can be purchased online at tickets.occc.edu, by calling (405) 682-7579 or in-person at OCCC Box Office.

The next performance in the Performing Arts Series is Kathy Mattea's "Songs and the Season" on Dec. 4.
