Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), on January 8 through 10, will offer the Oklahoma State Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Certification course designed for technicians working with LPG fueled equipment and vehicles.

Prospective LPG technicians should be skilled in engine performance and electrical systems. Technicians successfully completing the course will be eligible to take the Oklahoma State LPG Certification exam.

The LPG course curriculum exceeds the State of Oklahoma's Alternative Fuel Technician rules and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 52 guidelines. NFPA 52 safeguards people and installations with requirements that mitigate the fire and explosion hazards associated with compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engine fuel systems and fueling facilities.

The LPG certification course will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. and run to 4:30 p.m. Cost to enroll is $600. For more information, or to register, please contact John Claybon at (405) 682-7855 or at jclaybon@occc.edu. Seating is limited.

OCCC is located at 7777 S. May Ave. For more information about enrollment or admission to the College, visit www.occc.edu, or call 682-OCCC.
